Loads of Banding Brazilian Agate Slice

This Brazilian Agate Slice is an example of the concentric banding Agate is known for.  Alternating layers of colored chalcedony form striations and circular patterns in the stone called bands.  These bands are created by fluids rich in silica which over time deposit quartz in cavities of volcanic rocks.   The bold black and blue banding and eyes of this slice surround a central area of golden banding. Glowing translucency when backlit. Polished on both sides and natural color.  Agate is soothing and stabilizing, eliminating negativity and radiating a soft strength.  Agate promotes harmony of the mind, body and spirit.
