Lavender Banded Dugway Geode

Large Dugway Geode with great sparkle and visual appeal. The geode cavity is lined with glittery microcrystalline quartz over white chalcedony and surrounded by bands of light blue, lavender and earth-toned rhyolite. The nodular skin adds texture and interest. Dugway Geodes were formed 6-8 million years ago by volcanic activity.
